How to wear: Christmas Special

Each month we highlight a product from our shop, suggesting different ways to style the garment for different occasions. But this month we decided upon something different: A Christmas special highlighting the members of our team and their outfit for this Christmas!

Where & How are you celebrating Christmas this year?

In Gouda with my parents. I don’t see them that often since I live in a different part of the country. We always celebrate Christmas by having long dinners and afterwards lots of presents that have been stacked under (and next to) the tree. It seems to become more and more each year!

What are you wearing and why?

I don’t have to worry about the cold since we stay at home, so I’m wearing the black transparent silk top with silicone panels with the short black embroidered skirt, black sheer panty and my heels lime-detail to add a bit of unexpected colour to the outfit.

Where & How are you celebrating Christmas this year?

In Hengelo, The Netherlands. Christmas Eve I am always with my parents and brothers. The first day of Christmas we celebrate it at my Grandpa and Grandma’s. The second day we celebrate it with my other Grandma who visits us and we have a nice dinner together. At night I usually go out with my friends because there are a lot of parties at the second day of Christmas here in Holland!

What are you wearing and why?

I picked this Hellen van Rees glitter skirt because I reaaally love it. I am obsessed with everything that sparkles and shines. I mix it with a black off-shoulder top for a soft touch. Also if I want to go out I can still wear the skirt and wear for example another top on it. The faux fur coat is for when I’m outside (of course) so I don’t freeze.

How are you celebrating this Christmas?

Probably we are going on Christmas Eve to my dad, eating Stamppot (a Dutch dish with mashed potatoes and vegetables) and a few drinks! On the first day of Christmas we go to my mom and her boyfriend. We play games, watch tv, play card games and in the evening we have a nice dinner. On the second day we go to my boyfriend’s father and stepmom and have another nice dinner over there.

Why this outfit?

The long sleeve top with geometric coating from Hellen van Rees because a long sleeve is needed for me in the winter! But in general I prefer the sleeves extra long so that they’re covering a part of my hands too. White for me is always a good colour at the Holidays, a simple jeans just fits me nice and can also be worn chic by wearing a nice pair of black heels underneath. To finish the look I wear these gold with black wing earrings, to combine it with more jewellery is too much for me.

Where & How are you celebrating Christmas this year?

The first day of Christmas I am with my best friend and her family. I’ve known her for 8 years now and she has become my family! We have a cosy dinner together and after we play a game where you can win presents! At the second day of Christmas I am with my own family. We go out for dinner and celebrate it also with presents, how lucky can a girl get?!

What are you wearing and why?

I chose the white pencil skirt with the black silicone part. On top I’ll wear a velour green turtleneck top. This I’m combining with a light black panty, powder pink pumps and to finish the look a small shoulder bag with green and pink dots!

How are you celebrating this Christmas?

I’ll be spending Christmas in sunny Cape Town, running the December and January Avant-Premiere pop-up over here. On Christmas day I’m drinking wine in the sun with my family, having a big lunch at our holiday house!

Why this outfit?

Because it isn’t snowy or super cold at all, I wear this kind of summery outfit! It still has a fancy look because of the Hellen van Rees Vancouver top and Stella McCartney trousers, but it’s light and comfortable for a nice first day of Christmas. To finish the look I wear black espadrilles from Chanel and a Saint Laurent bag.
